Year 9 Caulfield Grammar student, Asher Star was challenged by his school to complete a project that positively impact the wider community.
Asher decided to approach the Arcare Caulfield community, to ask if they were interested in being the focus on his assignment. The Arcare Caulfield community humbly accepted the proposal, and Asher got to work on his assignment.
Asher decided to use his interest and talent in photography, to complete the challenge. Asher thought it would be special and meaningful to the clients, if he was able to take a professional photo of them and present it back to them.
Asher visited the residence after school to take the photos for his assignment. Location was key, and Asher scoped the residence for the best lighting and backdrop.
Before you knew it, word had spread about Asher’s project and it wasn’t long before Asher had a long line of clients waiting to be photographed. It was a hit! Asher would chat and get to know each client little bit, before immortalising them in a photo.
Asher developed the photos in his own time, made a special visit to the residence when they were done, to present all them all to the clients.
Many of the clients gushed over their photos, vowing to hang in up in their suites; taking pride of place.
Asher passed his assignment with flying colours, and the clients felt incredibly proud to be the focus of his assignment and also that they helped further his studies.
