Volunteering at Arcare
Spending time with Arcare residents can be a beautifully rewarding experience and play a vital role in enhancing their lives.
We encourage our volunteers to share their time or an activity that they love doing. It’s these little moments of companionship that often lead to beautiful friendships and lasting memories. Volunteering at one our stunning aged care residences is a great way to stay social, learn and become part of your community.
Helen, Arcare Eight Mile Plains Volunteer
“I became a volunteer while visiting my father when he was an Arcare resident. I met one woman who was looking for some intellectual stimulation so I began to do some puzzles with her and a group. As a retired high-school teacher, I’m kept mentally and creatively active by preparing and presenting sessions, and I believe the residents who attend are too. It’s a win-win situation”
