Aged Care Adventures » Black Rock scenic bus drive
June 29, 2020
Written by Rachel Bailey
On Wednesday 24th June, a small group of clients from the Arcare Caulfield community ventured out for a morning scenic drive to Black Rock, Victoria.
As the group drove through Black Rock, lifestyle coordinator, Gail gave everyone a guided tour and history lesson on the area. Gail spoke about the rich history of the area, particularly about the history of the HMAS Cerberus submarine, which first arrived in the area in 1871.
The client were fascinated by Gail’s history lesson, and couldn’t believe how she knew so much about the area.
The bus briefly stopped by Black Rock beach, where the clients enjoyed some morning tea, while taking in the fresh sea air from the comfort and safety of the bus.
