A very sweet day decorating cookies at Arcare Pimpama

Decorating cookies isn’t everybody’s cup of tea but the clients at Arcare Pimpama certainly love it!

On the table in front of them, the clients were just spoiled for choice with M&Ms, jellybeans, rainbow sprinkles, marshmallows, icing and chocolate all for their choosing.

This activity promoted a sense of creativity, independence and freedom for the clients as they took charge in making their very own cookies.

During the cookie-decorating session, there were many conversations about their past baking and cooking experiences, with some clients also sharing their expert tips.

They also had the opportunity to socialise with new and old friends.

Decorating cookies has many benefits for the senses too. From touch, smell, sight and taste, this activity activates them all!

The lifestyle coordinator at Arcare Pimpama is always looking for fun and engaging ways to spark some creativity among the clients.

Other team members were also involved in this fun activity as they had a go at decorating their cookies.

It definitely was a sugar-filled day as everyone could not wait to give their cookies a try.

You could just imagine the amount of energy everybody had after enjoying their sweet cookies!

All in all, everyone agreed that decorating cookies was fun, but the best part about it all was getting to eat them after.
