A Biggest Morning Tea at Arcare Springwood

Clients and team members at Arcare Springwood celebrated Cancer Council’s A Biggest Morning Tea.

The Lifestyle team organised two sessions, one at 10am and the other at 2.30pm in order to cater for social distancing.

We held raffles and lucky door prizes which everyone loved.

The clients received a personal invitation and everyone at the residence was asked to wear yellow and blue for the morning tea.

Chef Darrell and his awesome team made beautiful yellow and blue cupcakes, pumpkin scones and lamingtons.

These beautiful delights were also offered to team members at Arcare Springwood to celebrate their hard work.

The morning tea coincided with our weekly team member appreciation day, where we can thank our team for all the extra hard work they are putting in during this period.

Arcare Springwood’s resident artist Margaret contributed to our event once again by making beautiful daffodils out of cardboard, paper and cotton ear buds.

While Dawn painted a picture over the weekend as kindly requested by Lifestyle team.

Together, they raised over $400 for Cancer Council’s A Biggest Morning Tea.

The day was a huge success and it was lovely to see the sea of yellow and blue that raised not only much needed funds for cancer, but as well as a great awareness for the disease and a sense of community among clients and team members.
