Bill Eunson

Bill, a client at Arcare Malvern East, lived most of his life in Blackburn surrounded by native fauna and his beloved bellbirds with his wife Gladys who sadly passed away 12 years ago.

The last few years at Blackburn, Bill would sit on the front verandah in the evening awaiting a visit from his friend the owl. The Bellbirds had by now disappeared.

Bill and Gladys met through their shared interest in scouting in which they were involved with for many happy years.

Happy childhood memories are of time spent with Bills extended family in the country town of Beechworth.

Yachting was a favourite pastime for many years at Sorrento where Bill sailed a trailer sailer and was actively involved with the Sorrento Sailing Club, teaching many children to sail.

Bill has loved aeroplanes since childhood; he formed very special friendships whilst making his own planes and belonging to various clubs where members flew and still do fly their model planes. He would often get out of his wheelchair and join in the activity.

Bill is a happy, friendly gentleman who joins in the exercise activities as well as the social activities. He enjoys the bus excursions especially if we head for the hills!

In the picture above you will see a very happy Bill thoroughly enjoying himself during one of the community’s Zumba activities.
