Celebrating Arcare Hope Island’s 6th birthday in style

Arcare Hope Island recently celebrated their 6th birthday on October 15th.

Clients, team members and families all celebrated in style with a Gatsby cocktail party.

Arcare Hope Island’s foyer, café and courtyard were glamorously transformed into their very own Downton Abbey.

They were decorated with music notes, masks, and silver and white decorations.

The courtyard was turned into a speakeasy, with plenty of champagne flowing, non-alcoholic fruity cocktails and platters of canapes.

The ladies from the craft group had spent many hours making the music buntings and masks with the assistance of lifestyle coordinator Allison and volunteer Christine.

As clients and families went around the residence, enjoying the party, clients could be heard proudly telling family of their achievements.

Clients, families and team members were dressed in classic 1920’s fashion with our elegant ladies in sequins and feathers while our gentleman looked very dapper in their hats and bracers.

While performers from Jazz Con-x-on played Jazz music from the era, some clients even gave the traditional Charleston a go on the dancefloor.

As everyone gathered around to sing ‘Happy Birthday’, we invited six clients to blow out the candles and cut the birthday cake.

Each of the clients represented Arcare Hope Island’s six momentous years.

As night fell, everyone was exhausted from all the entertainment, except for three ladies who continued the birthday celebrations.

They sat under the twinkling lights of the speakeasy, while sipping champagne and reminiscing of the past.

Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate Arcare Hope Island’s 6th Birthday with us!

Here’s to many more years down the road together!
