Elf on the Shelf

The Christmas season arrived at the Arcare Knox and The Lodge communities on 1st December, in the form of a mysterious elf named Ralph.

Found, first thing in the morning by a curious resident, Ralph had positioned in cheeky pose and had left a note to explain why he had arrived.

Dear Friends,

I would like to introduce myself. I am Ralph, your Elf on the Shelf, and I will be staying with you until Christmas Eve, when Santa will need me to come home.

I will be out to visit you each day at 9am, doing something different everyday, except for weekends when I have to go into S-ELF isolation.

I hope I can bring a smile to your faces and we can have some fun together.

Ralph, the Elf

Ralph enjoyed surprising everyone and keeping them guessing, each morning posing himself in a new and unique pose and completing another activity. Ralph’s daily adventures certainly delivered a fresh batch of Christmas cheer to the residents across all the Arcare Knox and The Lodge communities.

Arcare Knox The Lodge resident, Lillian was thrilled by Ralph’s ongoing Christmas antics, frequently choosing to get up early to go and see what he had gotten up to overnight, and often taking photos of his cheekiness to show her grandchildren.

“He’s a huge hit… and everyone want’s to take selfies with the elf!” Lifestyle coordinator, Leanne said.

Never too old for the Elf on the Shelf, 104 year old resident, Margery said that Ralph encouraged her to keep active, as she found herself making daily trips around the Boyd community to find Ralph during the Christmas season. On one December day, Margery was the first to find Ralph rock climbing up one of walls, and she couldn’t contain her laughter.

The Arcare Knox and The Lodge communities would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a very Happy and Safe New Year!
