Epping celebrates Indian Independence Day

On Thursday 13th August, the Arcare Epping community celebrated Indian Independence Day.

Indian Independence Day is an annual holiday, which marks the end of British rule in 1947 in India, and commemorates the establishment of a free and independent Indian nation.

To celebrate the joyous occasion, team members and clients were encouraged to wear either brightly coloured clothes or traditional Indian garments dress for the day.

In the afternoon, the community danced together along the colourful Bollywood music.

With a number of team members at Arcare Epping coming from an Indian background, the community felt it was important to recognise and embrace their culture and traditions on this very special day. Team members and clients felt incredibly fortunate to be able to share their culture with the wider Arcare community.
