Epping ladies cooking in the kitchenette

Since opening the community kitchenette facilities at Arcare Epping in June 2019, the team have been taking every opportunity to encourage clients to share their passion for food and skills in the kitchen, by inviting them to cook up a storm.

The Epping community chose to introduce the kitchenette space, after receiving the feedback from clients, that one of the major things they missed after moving into aged care, was being able to cook for themselves and for their families.

Over the last year, many clients have already enjoyed the freedom and independence, that the kitchenette has provided and restored.

On Friday 17th July, several ladies from the Epping community gathered in the kitchenette space for a catch-up and some cooking.

The ladies chose to whip up a batch of pikelets, using the ingredients provided by the catering team and the electric frypans in the kitchenette.

The ladies enjoyed spending the morning chatting, sharing stories and laughing over a few pikelets.
