Meet this popular essential worker, and give him a scratch behind the ear.

Over in Arcare Burnside, a special visitor helps bring some hope and warmth – and a cute wagging tail – to residents each week. Curl’s position description is varied. Most recently, he was a grief counsellor. A resident sadly lost her husband and Curl spent the afternoon playing, cuddling and curling up on her lap.

Dogs like Curl, can be remarkably intuitive at reacting and responding to people and their environment. Offering comfort and support, his friendly and gentle nature is matched with an adorable ability to climb all over everyone who lets him!

Curl’s mum is the Nurse Unit Manager of Arcare Burnside, she brought Curl in for one afternoon and is now making it a recurring event. “He will now be coming each Thursday. He loved it but they loved it more!”.
