Aged Care Narratives » Courtyard cooking

On Wednesday 6th May, the Arcare Reservoir community soaked in the afternoon sun, while they cooked together in the residence’s courtyard.
Armed with a hankering for pikelets with jam and cream, a group of clients gathered the ingredients and started to look for a place to setup and cook.
While they would’ve have normally just used the kitchen serving area for their cooking, the group couldn’t pass up the gorgeous sun and warm breeze of the courtyard, choosing to bake outside instead with the help of a portable cook-top.
Once the group had finished measuring, mixing, taste-testing and cooking, they invited more clients out into the courtyard, to sit back and enjoy one of their decadent creations with jam and cream.
