Aged Care Narratives » Father’s Day at Portarlington
September 14, 2020
Written by Rachel Bailey
Although the traditional Father’s Day celebrations and visits were unable to take place this year due to COVID restrictions, the Arcare Portarlington lifestyle team went above and beyond to ensure that the day was special for all the fathers within the residence.
In the morning, the lifestyle team made special visits to each resident’s suite to hand-out their personalised gift bags and to setup a special Father’s Day Zoom call with all their family members and friends.
In the afternoon, the men were treated to a deluxe Gold Class-themed movie matinee. Residents kicked back to relax as the team served some of Brewing Group’s beer and snacks, as a variety of the community’s favourite old western films played.
