During the precautionary lockdown, the Arcare Caulfield community were unable to have their regular entertainers come in and perform during social events. As a result of this, the lifestyle team decided to get creative, inviting entertainers to perform via video, and even inviting some of the talented onsite team members to step-up to the stage and perform for everyone.
Every Friday afternoon during Happy Hour, the Arcare Caulfield community typically have a musical performance to accompany their wine, cheese and nibbles. During the month’s of April and May, the Caulfield community welcomed the talents of their wonderful receptionist, Maddie.
Maddie wowed the crowd with her beautiful voice, as the clients kicked back with a glass of champagne and a roaring virtual fireplace. Maddie’s first performance was such a hit with the community, that the clients were begging for an encore performance; it’s safe to say that Maddie is now the regular Happy Hour performer.
Maddie was even requested to sing for the community on Mother’s Day. Maddie belted out love songs as a part of her special Mother’s Day performance.
However Maddie hasn’t been the only Arcare team member, whose talents have wowed the community. On Sunday 3rd May, Arcare Caulfield carer, Lawrence put on a spectacular performance for the entire community.
The community enjoyed sitting back and watching as Lawrence shared his beautiful voice and guitar and harmonica playing skills during his performance.
Lawrence even stayed back after his shift, to give the clients a highly anticipated and demanded encore performance.
