Sandra makes blankets at Arcare North Lakes

Here at Arcare North Lakes, one of the clients who is involved in the sewing club, has been busy sewing these lovely warm blankets for clients in our Deakin community.

Sandra finds that sewing helps her to remain creative, stay calm and pass the time, which is a positive approach to the current situation at the residence.

And her colourful handmade blankets definitely bring a smile to the clients’ faces.

‘We are encouraging clients to keep up with their hobbies and our daily activities are still happening to keep them all active,’ Lifestyle Co-ordinator Maree said.

It is wonderful to see Sandra taking her own initiative to do something nice for someone else.

Her ability to remain joyful and helpful during the preventative lockdown period inspires all of us at Arcare North Lakes to do the same!
