The Arcare Helensvale St James community were treated to a morning of entertainment when students from Daramalan College paid a visit.
The students were on an excursion from their home town of Canberra and had made the journey to Queensland to do a couple of performances and of course head down to the theme parks.
The junior string ensemble was up first and played a few tunes for all of the clients to enjoy.
The show was a mix of old and new with Ed Sheeran and Elton John songs on the set list.
The choir performed a few tunes that were a winner at a recent eisteddfod competition in Wagga Wagga and second place in the NSW college competition.
The performance was also a winner with clients giving rave reviews.
Nita said, ‘That was just breath taking! I thoroughly enjoyed it.’
While Adelea remarked that the music was too good to miss saying, ‘I don’t come out of my room very much these days, but I wanted to come today when I heard them singing the African song.’
After their performances the students were keen to have a yarn and mingle with the clients before heading over to Movie World for the afternoon.
