Singing carols and saying farewell to Ruth at Arcare Eight Mile Plains

Christmas brings about a season of choir-singing and caroling for the clients at Arcare Eight Mile Plains.

After months of practice, the choir group was finally ready to perform!

Wearing Christmas hats and headbands, the clients had even taken the time to decorate their own choir shirts during a craft activity.

As they sang a number of Christmas carols, the audience sang and clapped along to their melodic voices.

Even while singing, the unique personalities of all the clients shone through as they had a laugh and shared a joke.

You could just tell that they were truly enjoying themselves!

Families who were present thanked Ruth and Vanessa for this wonderful opportunity for their loved ones to be part of this choir.

And before the choir performance began, the clients also gave a few short speeches to thank Ruth for everything she has done.

It was a touching moment to see the wonderful friendships she has made with everyone at the residence.

At the end of the performance, Ruth went around the room to give each of her friends a hug.

Many of the clients, families and team members are very sad to see her go but they are happy for her as she takes this time off to be with her family.

Ruth has been working here at Arcare Eight Mile Plains for 8 years.

Not only has she formed a special connection with each and every client, but she also understands their personalities really well.

From all of us here at Arcare Eight Mile Plains, we want to thank Ruth for everything she has done over the years.

She has been a great Lifestyle Coordinator, but more importantly, a great friend to us all.
