Smelling the roses

Renate, from the Arcare Cheltenham Community, has always had a green thumb.

Recently, she spoke of the beautiful garden she had at her own home where she planted a glorious range of roses.

She would often wander out to the garden to smell her roses and admire their wonderful colours.

At Arcare Cheltenham, Renate has continued her passion for gardening and has been tending to the roses outside in the courtyard.

She says that moving the secateurs is a good source of exercise for her.

Once all the pruning has been done, Renate makes sure to stop and smell the roses just like she did in her own home.

Noel and Gloria’s special day

Congratulations to Noel and Gloria who celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in February with a romantic lunch for two.

The Cheltenham team organised a private table with a flower centerpiece in a quiet area for the couple to enjoy a delicious lunch.

After their meal, they enjoyed listening to Tall Paul perform on the piano in the lounge room. Gloria said that the calm and soothing music was the perfect way to end their special day.
