Sporting season commences at Arcare Springwood

To celebrate the sporting season, clients at Arcare Springwood had a sports-filled day with Physio John.

They have been looking forward to participating in the residence’s new sports program.

One such client is Leslie Rowe, who was president, treasurer and lifetime member of the Norman Park Bowls Club.

And on the day, Leslie wore his green and gold Bowls Club uniform with pride.

‘I worked on Saturdays and Sundays for overtime on the pipeline and used to go to work early on Saturday, just so I could finish early to go to bowls!’ he recalls.

Leslie is a fan of keeping active and keeping up to date with sports, whether its playing sport or following it on TV.

‘The clients here are very active so participating in a variety of low impact sporting activities is something they look forward to,’ Lifestyle Co-ordinator Rebecca said.

And Lifestyle Assistant Helen is already practicing for their next residence game of putt putt.
