Spring has finally arrived at the Arcare Sydenham community.

As the weather slowly warms and the skies clear, more and more residents are venturing out into the residence’s courtyard to take a walk and enjoy the beautiful gardens.

Residents are encouraged to sanitise their hands and wear a face mask, before heading outside for a walk in the courtyard. Residents are accompanied by either a carer, physiotherapist or a member of the lifestyle team during their walks.

While many enjoy taking laps of the courtyard to help keep up their fitness, others prefer to simply take a seat, and take in the fresh air and beautiful sunshine.

During lockdown, the team at Arcare Sydenham have been spending a lot of 1:1 time with residents, taking them for walks individually & engaging them in meaningful activities.

The team are working closely with the residents to setup various tablets to ensure that everyone will have access to online mass, concerts and video calls with their loved ones and the volunteers.

The Arcare Sydenham team are working tirelessly to ensure that all residents feel, and are physically, socially, emotionally and spiritually supported during lockdown.
