Taking time to colour

Over the last few weeks, clients from the Arcare Epping community have been participating in some Mindful Colouring sessions.

The group gather to listen to relaxing meditation music, enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and zone out while colouring. It is all about letting go and not thinking about what you are doing. It’s about letting go of judging whether the colouring is good or bad, amazing, or terrible and whether we are good at it or not.There is no right or wrong way to colour in, it is a form of self-expression.

While colouring may seem like a juvenile activity to some, the benefits of Mindful Colouring are many and varied, from helping to reduce stress and anxiety to helping improve sleep, motor skills and vision.
