Travelling to Germany with a feast for the eyes and the tummy

Clients at Arcare Pimpama enjoyed some travelling about to the bustling country of Germany with an authentic feast.

They learnt a lot about what life is like in Germany and they enjoyed watching videos of iconic German architecture and local tourist spots.

They also tried a type of rye bread called pumpernickel bread, a type of German sausage named kransky, various German sweets such as marzipan and nougat, and washed it all down with some refreshing German beer.

‘Such an interesting country! Their buildings are beautiful and their food delicious. I’m looking forward to travelling there again,’ a client commented.

Together, we also shared and admired a genuine piece of the historically significant Berlin wall.

‘Many of us aren’t able to travel about now, so to keep up their interest in exploring different parts of the world, we organised Travel About. They get to enjoy food from that culture while learning more about it. It’s a great experience for them,’ Lifestyle Co-ordinator Amanda shared.
