A visit from mums and bubs

Arcare Slacks Creek had their first mum’s and bubs gathering earlier this week.

Nat Miller recently started Mums & Bubs Logan and they were more than happy to make a visit to meet our residents.

Nat wishes to enrich the lives of our older generation and give back in a meaningful and purposeful way.

Everyone eagerly anticipated the visit; the room was bursting with excitement.

The smiles and laughter from the mums, bubs and residents were easy to see.

We also received glowing feedback from the mums.

Maddi said:

“Georgia and I absolutely loved our visit with everyone at Arcare today! We cannot wait to come visit again soon.”

Lindy said:

“Words cannot describe the faces lighting up with big smiles, we made their day and they made ours what a great feeling.”

Claire said:

“We live thousands of kilometres from family (in NZ), so it’s rare that Beauden will have the chance to interact with people his grandparents and great grandparents age. That’s why I jumped at the opportunity to visit Arcare with the mum’s n bubs group.

Seeing the residents gently cuddling and playing with an 11-week-old baby, and telling me how much joy it brings them, made me tear up. It is the littlest things (and people!) that bring great joy to this life. We loved the cuddles and hearing the resident’s remark at how much heavier he was compared to their dollies!”

Mums, bubs and residents are all looking forward to their next visit.
