The winning horse at Arcare Seven Hill’s Melbourne Cup

Residents in our Arcare Seven Hills celebrated their first Melbourne Cup at the residence by getting dressed up, watching the race and picking the winning horse.

Donning their colourful fascinators, residents were served an assortment of drinks and nibbles as they cheered on their favourite horses and jockeys.

After the Melbourne Cup races, the residents were in such a joyful mood that they decided to stay and do a sing-along in the Saturn lounge room.

Resident June was the lucky winner as she picked the winning horse while Graham came second and Robin came third.

‘This was a lot of fun, I never really followed the races but watching it here with everyone really added to the Melbourne Cup atmosphere,’ a resident commented.

We are looking forward to next year’s Melbourne Cup and seeing who picks the winning horse!
