Friends at first sight – Elda and Imelda at Arcare North Shore

A chance meeting brought two lovely ladies together at the Arcare North Shore residence.

Resident Elda Lyon who has been a part of our community for three and a half years has made many friends and is a very active member in the community.

While Resident Imelda Delamoir who has only just recently joined the community has been settling in quite well and has been trying her hand at new activities.

The two met by chance one day in the dining room and from there, their friendship blossomed.

The two have so much in common – they both enjoy going for walks around Arcare North Shore, they both enjoy gardening, music, and dancing.

“Oh, she is such a lovely lady. I was nervous at first coming in here. But she has made me feel really at ease here and I love spending my time with her,” Imelda shared.

And not only do the two share very similar names, but they also have one special thing in common – their age!

At 96 years old, the two really enjoy spending their time talking, walking and drinking tea together.

Imelda who used to be a ballroom dancer loves sharing her fascinating stories with Elda, who is an absolute lover of music.

We look forward to seeing this special friendship blossom even further!
