Malvern East supports the MND Foundation
Over the last couple of years, the Arcare Malvern East community have been holding regular mini markets, where they sell preloved arts, crafts, jewellery and knitwear to raise money for the Motor Neurone Foundation.
Malvern East resident, Ann spearheads the project with support from the lifestyle team. The idea to host these markets started after the lifestyle team had a chat to Ann, where she explained that the MND Foundation is a cause close to her heart and that she always wanted to help raise money for them. So they started the markets to combine two of her passions: MND Foundation and crafts.
Working with the Malvern East craft group, Ann has helped create seasonal gifts to be sold at these markets, such as baubles for Christmas, Easter bonnets and beanies for winter.
“I’m very proud of the work I do for the MND Foundation.” Ann said.
So far in 2021, the Malvern East community have raised $1049.70 to donate to the MND Foundation. An incredible effort! We are so proud to have collaborations like this within the Arcare community.
