Written by Rachel Bailey
Local community member, Michelle reached out to the Arcare Caulfield residence to see how she could brighten up the community’s day.
Michelle doesn’t have a loved one in care at Arcare, however living in the local area, she heard about Arcare’s precautionary lockdown, and she was determined to do something personal and thoughtful for the community during this difficult time.Michelle and her daughter, Jada spent about 8 hours day for 5 days, hand crafting 108 special, unique and colourful cards, which would later be individually gifted to each client. Michelle and Jada also included a large box of chocolates with each card; a comfort of a different kind.
Michelle hopes that her cards will help brighten the day of each client and make them feel connected to the wider community.
Michelle wants all the clients at Arcare Caulfield to know that each card was made with love and kindness.
