Aged Care Relationships » Neighbours reunited
May 22, 2020
Written by Rachel Bailey
When Gerda moved into the Arcare Caulfield community in mid March, she quickly recognised a friendly face around the halls.
It turned out that client, Phyllis, who moved into Arcare Caulfield in 2014, had been Gerda’s next door neighbour when she was younger. The pair recognised one another almost instantly and couldn’t believe that they were reconnecting at Arcare aged care, of all places!
Now Gerda and Phyllis frequently spend time together around the Caulfield residence, often taking comfort in the simple conversations with one another. On Friday 15th May, Gerda and Phyllis say outside in the courtyard together, simply enjoying the warm of the sun and the company.
The pair’s rekindled friendship has certainly helped Gerda settle into life at Arcare Caulfield.
