Our Arcare Parkwood community have been filled with love and laughter as we received a number of surprise Christmas cards from Queensland Academy.
The Queensland Academy of Health Sciences have been sending us letters but we did not expect to receive these Christmas cards.
In each Christmas card was a heartwarming handwritten message from the students.
‘How thoughtful of them to write to us! There’s nothing like receiving a handwritten card during Christmas,’ a resident commented.
They were big smiles on the residents’ faces as they read their cards and held on tightly to them.
‘I’ll be sure to cherish this card and I hope to see these kids one day,’ another resident shared.
It has been wonderful to see the community coming together during this year and during the festive season.
And we look forward to more letters in the future for our pen pal program with Queensland Academy!
