The Keysborough Community welcomed the return of the talented group ‘The Merry Makers’ in October; back by popular demand.
At their first concert in August, the community also had a surprise guest – Gerry Gee and his good friend Gary Ryan who is Nancy’s son.
The group remembers Gerry from his role on the 1956 Tarax Show.
Ted was especially happy to see the Merry Makers as he knew them from his days at the Narre Warren Senior Citizens Club.
Made up of a volunteer group of eight senior men and women, the Merry Makers love singing, making music and bringing joy into people’s lives.
Travelling and performing is tiring work, and the group have recently decided to cut back on the number of concerts they give. Fortunately, the group is still treating their friends from Keysborough to a performance each month.
