At Arcare Pimpama, the clients had the opportunity to take part in a special flower arranging lesson led by Nilimini Yayalath, a floral designer from Richlands.
It was a great lesson as she kept it very interactive and engaging. It was also a hands-on experience for the clients as they went about creating their own designs and assisted with the decoration too.
She also brought fresh flowers with her which filled the entire room with the sweet aroma of nectar and petals.
One of the clients at Arcare Pimpama, Pamela was a florirst for many years. In the later years, she also became a judge for floral arrangement competitions.
Pamela has a wealth of knowledge and was able to answer all the questions correctly and even give some of her tips.
Pamela showed off two of her own arrangements and she took pride in them as she had thoughtfully made them. Pamela also tried learning about modern floral decorations, but she soon realised it was not her forte.
Clients truly enjoyed the sensory experience of smelling and touching the flowers and green foliage.
This was on the bucket list of several clients so they were very happy when Lifestyle coordinator Adel was able to put this together for them.
Client Diana also really enjoyed the experience, as she loves all things nature.
Overall, the workshop was a huge success as clients were able to learn some of the tips and tricks of flower arranging while increasing their knowledge and experience.
They also had a lot of fun using their creativity to put together the best floral designs for Pamela to judge.
