A few years ago, it was decided that Arcare Sanctuary Manors needed something different – cuddly animals! So we brought on board a couple of beautiful kittens to brighten up our clients’ lives.
Many of our clients have left behind their treasured animals, so now we have added some furry love back into our residence.
Arcare prides itself on being open to all sorts of care for our clients and the role that animals play in our overall wellbeing is well-documented as being soulful and calming.
Our little cute balls of fluff have personalities beyond their years. They enjoy the attention and the special cuddles that is dished out daily. Bella and Donna are the favourites of our younger visitors. They are also a great conversation starter!
They are treasured and loved indeed as they reside cosily under our lounge chairs, on clients’ beds for their afternoon nap, and sometimes they can be seen sunbathing in our beautiful courtyard on a cold winter’s day.
Bella and Donna – you bring so much joy and uniqueness to our Aged Care residence here and you don’t even know it. Your innate abilities to be intuitive when someone is feeling down or missing home is wonderfully settling for many of our clients.
In a world where it is easy to take a tablet to feel better, Bella and Donna calmly walk around our residence and bring about good cheer and a dose of feel-good endorphins to all including the team members.
Thanks for coming into our worlds and it is so wonderful to watch both of you grow into beautiful fluffy balls of love.
