Over 70 clients, team members and family turned up to take a chance on lady luck at Arcare Slacks Creek‘s Casino Royale event!
As people got closer to the Kensington community, the sounds of gambling simply drew them in.
You could hear the sounds of chips being played, dice being rolled and cheers as people won!
Dressed in red and black, the dinner room was transformed into a casino, complete with green table runners and feather boas.
There were even a few game stations like keno and lucky sevens all set up.
Team members also donned wigs, fake moustaches, vests, jackets and ties to look the part as professional casino dealers and money lenders.
Clients were laughing out loud while some very serious in their playing.
“I don’t think I’ve ever had this much money before, I don’t know what to do with it!” client Evelyn said as she counting her money and putting them into neat piles.
There was even a big roulette wheel for clients to spin and earn some fake money.
The roulette wheel was a wonderful DIY project between students from Mabel Park State School and the clients.
One client even dressed up just like Elvis in her wig and black and gold jacket! The resemblance was uncanny.
“Now we can’t have two Elvis’ in the house, can we?” client Joyce said.
When the real King of Rock and Roll finally arrived all the way from America, he sang and danced the afternoon away.
He sang classic songs like Love Me Tender, Teddy Bear and Little Sister which brought back a lot of memories of listening to Elvis records for the clients.
During the concert, some of the team members were brought out to the front to do a little dance for everyone as Elvis’ supporting acts.
The kitchen team also did an excellent job in creating foods that were casino themed.
The themed events at Arcare Slacks Creek are always a big hit with everyone.
The Casino Night was definitely addictive for the clients as they are looking forward to their next event already!
