Puzzle Mania has hit Arcare Hope Island and everyone is simply loving this new activity!
Typically, the clients keep their love for puzzles to themselves by doing it in their own rooms.
But after getting together for a residence discussion, the clients realised that they aren’t alone in their love for puzzles! There are many who love doing them too.
This has now turned into an activity that brings fellow clients, families, children and team members together.
Some things just don’t go out of fashion!
Client Margaret purchased a puzzle board for her room, but it was too big, so the Lifestyle team set it up in a lounge area and now it’s a hive of activity that brings everyone together.
The Lifestyle team also purchased a Puzzle Table which has been used the most by client Betty.
After talking to Betty, she happily gave us a thumbs up as she has just completed her 1500 piece puzzle!
Her love of puzzles came from an early career as a dressmaking for Grettell’s Boutique in Brisbane for 6 years.
Betty stated that all the pattern pieces had to fit just like a puzzle otherwise the outfit wouldn’t look right. She sure has a keen eye for detail!
Now, her passion for puzzles has been passed on through the family as her grandchildren also enjoy doing them.
Puzzles are such a great, relaxing way to keep the mind active.
