The private operator [Arcare Aged Care] has rolled out BESTMED Electronic National Residential Medication Charts (eNRMC) to its 51 aged care homes.
Arcare, which operates in Queensland, NSW, and Victoria, began installing BESTMED in November 2022, and all residences are now using the software.
Implementation was aided by a Department of Health eNRMC adoption grant.
A survey of more than 100 Arcare staff who attended a BESTMED training session found 86% felt confident enough to start using the software
“Arcare’s decision to implement BESTMED is a testament to their commitment to innovation and care and we are proud to share a similar ethos,” said BESTMED CEO, Phil Offer.
“Innovation is key in creating a connected medication management solution that supports our partners, their care staff and consumers to improve efficiency and safety in their homes.”
More than 600 aged care homes around Australia and most of Australia’s largest aged care providers now use BESTMED’s Connected Medication Management system.
