Former Wallabies captain Stirling Mortlock AM has joined the fight to minimise the impacts of concussion.

Mortlock’s investment firm XV Capital has signed an agreement with EyeGuide Technologies to help revolutionise the way concussions and other mental health issues can be identified and managed.

Based in Melbourne, EyeGuide Technologies offers an objective 10-second digital eye test which is used to help those suffering from sporting concussions, head injuries, fatigue, and other mental health issues.

EyeGuide has already been used by World Rugby in Europe’s United Rugby Championship as well as in Rugby League, Rugby Union and AFL clubs, and across some schools.

“From our perspective at XV Capital, we are all about sports innovation and when we saw EyeGuide we called it a ‘gamechanger’ straight away,” Mortlock told 7NEWS.”
