People of Arcare

What do you enjoy about your role?

I really find fulfilment in making my clients happy. Even if it is very small things, such as making a perfect cup of tea to their preference. When I see a big smile on their face, I feel a sense of satisfaction.

How does this company differ from others you’ve worked for?

Arcare has great policies and procedures in place, and as an employee it makes me feel safe and protected. Arcare also gives employees opportunities for career and professional growth.

What do you love about Arcare and working in Aged Care?

I have really enjoyed the relationships I have built with my clients and my colleagues since I started working at Arcare. My team is hardworking, and we help each other to give our clients the best of care. Working in Aged Care is not easy, as everyone knows, however it is a rewarding job that contributes significantly to someone’s final years of life.

What tips or advice would you give to someone looking to work in Aged Care?

Contributing so significantly to someone’s life is something special. If you are thinking of entering a career in aged care, I would recommend bringing a positive attitude, a sense of humour, and a willingness to listen to the people you are caring for.

What are your hobbies? What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I like to try new foods and cuisines. Sometimes it is good and sometimes disappointing but exploring different cultures is fun.

Can you share one fun fact about yourself?

I am a dog person. What I like to do most with my dog is curling up together on the couch and having a nap.
