Arcare North Shore was transformed and decorated to resemble a piano lounge café to help raise money for a wonderful Cancer Council cause.
Our chef and her team worked tirelessly to prepare a full day of gourmet delights for both our clients and the public.
The public joined our clients at the tables and really got to know who we are at Arcare North Shore.
Our morning started with a social gathering for a daffodil-themed high tea, which resulted in a wonderful turn out of clients and families enjoying a lovely cup of coffee and a good old laugh.
Once it reached noontime, our day started to get even more interesting.
Our Lifestyle team flew in over a hundred dozen donuts to sell to the public!
Profits from the donuts went towards the Cancer Council’s Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, held at Arcare North Shore.
Guests were very happy to be greeted by a friendly face at the door, directing them to our specially prepared seven-tiered high tea display.
Everyone was happy to give a gold coin donation after seeing the effort and time that went into the planning.
Everyone was also excited to know how many donuts they could buy as they chatted over a coffee and cake from our café.
The café was filled with lots of laughter, chats and the melodic sounds of a classical piano playing in the foyer.
To top the day off, the chef and the kitchen team showed off their amazingly artistic and creative skills with a homemade daffodil cake!
Clients, team members, families and friends were all encouraged to purchase as many dozens as possible to enter the raffle for the beautiful daffodil cake.
The day went by smoothly and everyone had a wonderful day.
It felt great to have fun together and also give back to a worthy cause, knowing we all had a hand in raising money for Cancer Council.
We ended up raising a total of $1,205 for the Cancer Council fundraiser!
Thank you to everyone!
Each and every one of our clients took part in some way to make the day a wonderful and successful event.
Some donated to the cause, others helped to make the public feel welcome when they came in, and others just made us smile with their presence.
They felt really valued as they were being included in every part of our fundraising event.
They were all especially proud when they heard people commenting on what a wonderful atmosphere it was in our beautiful facility.
