A recent renovation at Arcare North Shore has left clients and team members feeling totally at peace.
The Sensitive Care unit at the residence received an uplift that came with many incredible improvements, which will be showcased over the next few months.
This part of the project was a combined effort from our maintenance man and the lifestyle department. Together, they created a centrepiece for the new outdoor space.
One of everyone’s favourites is the Zen garden which has been built in the outdoor courtyard.
This new garden is not only eye catching but it is also a very relaxing addition to the beautiful outdoor space.
With the new water feature installed, you can find your inner peace by focussing on the gentle trickling of water in the background.
Part of ‘being zen’ is to essentially be at a state of peace with your own thoughts and actions.
This can be achieved at Arcare North Shore’s new garden as it is inspired by the concept of Zen gardens in the East!
As you look around the garden, the inclusion of plants and quartz stones gives the entire place an exotic feel.
The herb garden on the opposite side also produces a calming fragrance of rosemary, oregano and parsley.
We encourage the clients to enjoy the great outdoors as there are many physical and mental benefits.
Participating in the growth of the herb garden is a great way for the clients to use their motor skills, promote relaxation and increase their social skills.
We also believe that engaging in a new activity is a great way for them to learn something new while potentially developing it into a regular hobby.
