After watching a brilliant concert put on by the kids, the new friends sat down to enjoy a delicious afternoon tea together.
The children were eager to show off their most treasured possessions to their visitors during a show and tell session.
As the community was getting ready to leave, many of the children wanted to know when they would be returning.
One of the children sweetly asked, ‘Can you please come back in tomorrow?’
The bus journey home was filled with chatter about how the visit had reminded them of when they would take their own children to kindergarten.
A sumptuous high tea was put on for all the ladies in the Carnegie Community to celebrate Mother’s Day.
The table was laden with a feast, including fresh scones, cupcakes, carrot cake, savoury pinwheels and, of course, bubbles.
Each lady was gifted with a card and pink heart chocolates.
Mary accidentally spilled some of her bubbles. She joked, ‘It wouldn’t have worried me if I dropped the scone, but oh no – not the bubbles!’
Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers, grandmothers and great grandmothers across all of our communities.
