Arcare Kanwal rev-heads recently enjoyed a highly anticipated trip to the Gosford Classic Cars Showcase.
The venue showcases over 400 cars; including 35 Ferraris, 25 Communist cars and a whole range of classic Holdens from 1948 to 1978.
Although it was a couple of the fellas who were quite adamant about going to the museum, a few of the ladies were just as keen.
The residents explored the museum; in awe of everything they were discovering.
Each car represented a rich history from different times and places in the world.
More so, the cars brought back memories of which ones the residents owned back in their days.
Everyone was amazed that a car that was a ‘standard’ family car many years ago is now a car valued at tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of dollars.
Residents commented on the immaculate condition the cars were presented in, and imagined they were standing in a very expensive room.
Turns out that the cars at the ‘museum’ add up to a value of over $70 million dollars!
They had to keep in mind, some people visit this venue to buy vehicles rather than just admire them.
Those with an extensive knowledge of cars spent a great amount of their time reading up on the different models on show.
The old school fire engine was an exciting site, so much so, the group insisted they have a photo together in front of it.
To top off the great day, Lifestyle team member Adam treated the group to McDonald’s ice cream.
It was a very exciting and educational day for the residents; allowing them to travel back in time as well as discover models they had never seen before.
