With not just one but three Biggest Morning Teas there was an opportunity for everyone, including family members and friends, to be involved.
All team members were invited to celebrate the day by dressing in yellow. The catering team surprised everyone with beautiful bright yellow cupcakes that the community enjoyed with a cup of tea or coffee.
Lifestyle Coordinator Jaqueline said, ‘Seeing everyone dress up and get involved is really special to be part of.’
George, a client at Arcare Knox said, ‘What a great morning we’ve had!’
Congratulations to all of our communities who held their own Biggest Morning Tea and raised money for such an important cause.
Valerie, a client at The Lodge at Arcare Knox, is not only a talented knitter but also a dedicated community member who enjoys assisting local charities.
Along with the Knox Community’s Knitting Club, Valerie has been knitting pouches to help keep injured wildlife warm and secure while they recover.
The club has knitted a variety of pouches and blankets for the group, Warriors 4 Wildlife, providing them with much needed resources for them to continue their important work.
When Warriors 4 Wildlife came to collect the most recent donations, their brought with them some of their rescued birds.
It was special for the Knitting Club to see some of the animals that they have helped care for.
The room filled with laughter as two of the cockatiels perched on Valerie’s head for a chat. The community found it especially funny that Valerie remained sipping on her cup of tea while the birds were quite relaxed.
