March 31 – Arcare Burnside – Paola’s Q&A
Paola, the Residence Manager at Arcare Burnside, wanted to reassure all of the clients that they are in safe hands and let them know what measures the team are taking to ensure everyone’s safety due to COVID-19.
Paola conducted the meeting in the dining room where the clients could ask her any questions or concerns that they have during this unprecedented time.
March 31 – Arcare Craigieburn – Easter spirit
The clients at Arcare Craigieburn were in a festive spirit, and decorated a tree today in preparation for Easter, which is almost here. They worked together and shared their ideas to decorated the tree, and it turned out fantastic.
April 1 – Arcare Surrey Hills – Easter wreaths
The clients at Arcare Surrey Hills had the creativity flowing today as they were making some Easter Wreaths. They are planning to use them as a decoration to hang on the doors throughout the residence.
Everyone had a great time picking out what colours to use and chatting while making them.
April 2 – Arcare Malvern East – zooming ahead
Joyce, one of the Lifestyle Coordinator at Arcare Malvern East, has been busy setting up Zoom meetings for the clients and their families.
One of the recent ones was between Pauline and her daughter Michele and grandchildren. Everyone was so happy to see and to catch up with each other.
April 2 – Arcare Reservoir – more hand-made cards for families
There’s been more clients making cards to send to their families at Arcare Reservoir. They’ve been writing messages to their families to let them know how they are, and including a photo of themselves. Once the cards have been completed, the lifestyle team have been posting them.
April 2 – Arcare Sydenham – smiles on Thursday
There was plenty to smile about on Thursday at Arcare Sydenham.
The clients enjoyed their exercise classes where they were doing some stretches and doing some other seated exercises. Cynthia had a face time call with her family, and they were all very happy to see each other and catch up. The Residence Manager Pat also organised for a KFC lunch for all of the team members to thank them for all their hard work and dedication.
April 2 – Arcare Templestowe – exercise classes
The team at Arcare Templestowe have been holding daily exercise groups for the clients. The exercise classes have proved to be quite popular for the clients, and the team have ensured that all clients are maintaining social distance.
April 3 – Arcare Carnegie – Ennys’ 100th birthday celebration
One of the clients at Arcare Carnegie Ennys celebrated her 100th birthday. The team members organised Ennys’ birthday celebrations in the foyer where her family were able to come to the front doors to celebrate her birthday with her.

April 3 – Arcare Caulfield – distant love
Lily, a client at Arcare Caulfield, approached the lifestyle team and asked for some help to make a sign that said “Distant Love” with a big red love heart.
This was because her son was going to be driving past Arcare Caulfield and she was hoping he’d see it. Lily said “This sign means that I’m welcoming my son back from his holiday and from two weeks of isolation”.
April 3 – Arcare Point Lonsdale – courtyard fun
Many of the clients enjoyed the great weather last week and sat in the sun in the courtyard.
Anne and David, a couple that have recently moved into Arcare Point Lonsdale, have found their favourite afternoon spot in the garden. Some of the ladies from the Tasman Community have been chatting in the courtyard after the meditation and spiritual discussion, and Fran has been doing some reading and reflection.
