Arcare Kanwal team members and clients got into the spirit of Halloween this year with many dressing up in terrifying costumes, many laughed at the sight of lifestyle team members Cristina and Gloria who took the opportunity to dress up seriously.
The main hall was decked out in decorations which received many compliments from clients and staff who were in and out all day taking photos.
The lifestyle team ran their activities as normal but with spooky twist, they started the day in the hall for a special game of Halloween trivia. Some of the questions were ‘how to kill a vampire’ to which everyone shared their most effective method such as spraying garlic or stabbing them in the heart with a wooden stake.
Whilst the clients sat in the hall playing trivia, they started to reminisce how they used to celebrate Halloween. Some said they used to take the grandchildren around the neighbourhood trick or treating while others said that it wasn’t something they celebrated or took part in as it wasn’t popular back in their day.
Instead of plain old boring bingo the clients were surprised to a Halloween inspired bingo. The numbers on the cards were replaced with Halloween inspired images such as witches, skeletons, pumpkins and cats. When you filled our line, you had to call ‘BOO’ instead of bingo which filled the room with giggles each time.
It was a fun day for all.
