Arcare Aged Care Community Stories – May 11 to May 17
May 11 – Arcare Glenhaven – Gifts for Mother’s Day
It was a wonderful Mother’s Day at Arcare Glenhaven as there were non-stop deliveries of flowers, chocolates and gifts for mothers and grandmothers at the residence.
And for team members delivering the gifts, it was a joy to see the reactions from clients as they receive them.
May 11 – Arcare Warriewood – Flower arranging for Mother’s Day
Mother’s Day at Arcare Warriewood was filled with the sweet scent of florals lingering in the air.
‘I feel like I’m in a florist, with so many pretty flowers around me,’ a client exclaimed.
Instead of buying one, clients decided to make a gift and were busy making one-of-a-kind flower arrangements for all the female clients.
They felt so much joy and fulfilment in making the flower bouquets for their friends, rather than for themselves.
In the end, they all worked together to arrange 49 bouquets of flowers!
May 11 – Arcare Oatlands – Rita and John’s 63rd wedding anniversary
Rita and John recently celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary with a romantic lunch at Arcare Oatlands.
As they enjoyed their date, they reminisced about how they met and where they had their first date.
‘I still remember John took me for our first date to the theatre to watch a film called the African Queen,’ Rita shared.
May 14 – Arcare Kanwal – Rock painting
Clients at Kanwal did some rock-painting in a recent craft group activity.
They love trying out new and interesting activities and having the opportunity to participate in a hands-on activity is even better!
