Today we introduce Kerri-Ann Rudolph, Laundry Assistant at Arcare Oatlands. She has been working with the team for the last 3 years but has been working in the Aged Care Industry for over 24 years!

What do you enjoy about your role?

Meeting new clients, getting to know their needs and wants.

How does this company differ from others you’ve worked for?

Arcare is a one of a kind, the management is so thoughtful and kind. Their support not only for me but for all staff is the best.

What do you love about Arcare and working in Aged Care?

I’ve been in the industry for 24 years and I’ve loved every minute.

What are your favourite stories of working at your residence / with your team / with a client?

The residence is full of life, the clients are so loving and always ready for a chat about anything. My team is the best throughout the whole facility, love working with them all.

What tips or advice would you give to someone looking to work in Aged Care?

That it’s a great sector to be in!

What are your hobbies? What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I love going on random outings with the family, like to the beach, coastal drives etc. I enjoy going to breakfast with family and friends as much as I can. I love looking for food trucks around Sydney and I love watching my kids play community sport.

Can you share one fun fact about yourself? It could be an interesting experience that you had, a quirky talent or your favourite recipe.

I managed the local rugby team (Dundas Vikings club) for 3 years which I enjoyed a lot.

Do you have anything else you would like to share?

I started work in aged care at the age of 19 in the laundry department just so I could go on a holiday to Fiji, well 24 years later I’m still in aged care!
