#PeopleofArcare: Meet Rebecca West, recently appointed as Residence Manager of Arcare Noosa. Rebecca is looking forward to welcoming the new residents and families of Arcare Noosa, Queensland in January 2021.

Q. What do you enjoy about your role?

The daily connection with people, the opportunity to make someone’s day and the ability to coach and mentor our teams.

Q. How would you describe working in aged care?

It is such a privilege to be able to support our community elders to have a purposeful and fulfilled life. I am in awe everyday of the wisdom and stories I hear and am so grateful to be part of the aged care community.

Q. Fondest memory so far in your Arcare journey?

This is an exciting time as we prepare to open our beautiful new Arcare home at Noosa on 18 January 2021.

Q. What tips or advice would you give to those looking to work in aged care?

Love what you do and love who you are with! It is such an honor to work in Aged Care – be guided by care, compassion and respect.

Q. What do you do outside of work?

Spending time with my husband and four adult children, practicing yoga and meditation, getting to learn my new hobby – pottery (it’s not as easy as it looks!)
