April 14 – Arcare Eight Mile Plains – Easter Painting
Over the Easter weekend, clients at Arcare Eight Mile Plains did some Easter painting and craft, where Ivy Barber created an Easter egg that was displayed in the dining room. Margaret Mackey also had a great time painting her Starfish, as you can tell by the big grin on her face.
Marjorie who does not attend craft stayed back and enjoyed painting. She said, ‘I am so used to reading the newspaper at this time, it feels good to do something different.’
April 14 – Arcare Pimpama – Pampering Session
Here at Arcare Pimpama, clients enjoy a hand massage and a manicure every two weeks.
The Pampering Session is really all about relaxing while enjoying the beauty benefits and chatting to friends.
The clients always look forward to it, especially Patricia Brodhurst-Hill who shows off her freshly painted nails.
April 14 – Arcare Parkwood – Personalised photobook
Using black and white photos from the collection, team member Anelia and a client at Arcare Parkwood spent some time putting a personalised photobook together.
April 15 – Arcare Sanctuary Manors – Keeping families in touch
Clients at Arcare Sanctuary Manors had the opportunity to keep in touch with their families during the Easter weekend and the preventative lockdown period.
With the help of Lifestyle Coordinator Rickie who organised window visits and video calls, clients and families were very happy to see and talk to each other once again.
April 15 – Arcare Slacks Creek – Keeping the mind active with word games
Kensington clients in Arcare Slacks Creek gave their brains a workout this morning with some word games.
Team member Michelle would write a long word on the whiteboard and have the clients shout out smaller words they can make with the letters from the long word.
Clients encouraged and helped each other to form words and had a giggle at some of the cheeky words they could form.
April 16 – Arcare Caboolture – Feeling happy from today’s music session
Clients from Arcare Caboolture’s Archer Sensitive Care Unit enjoyed playing musical instruments along to some music this morning.
You could tell they were having a lot of fun from the clients’ singing and laughing!
April 16 – Arcare Taigum –Pre-dinner drinks
What better way to spend the afternoon than by enjoying some wine and some music at Arcare Taigum‘s Pre-dinner drinks?
After a day of exercises, arts and crafts and high tea, clients wind down with their favourite choice of bubblies and favourite songs to listen to.
April 17 – Arcare Eight Mile Plains – Meeting family
Clients at Arcare Eight Mile Plains are going about their daily lives, remaining positive during the preventative lockdown.
Kathleen Walker recently received a heart-warming letter from her great-granddaughter and it brought a smile to her face.
April 17 – Arcare St James – Hawaiian Day
Arcare Helensvale St James has been holding weekly theme days where clients and team members are encouraged to dress up to the theme.
This week, many at the residence put on their best Hawaiian shirts and colourful leis and organised tropical decorations for Hawaiian Dress Up Day.
April 17 – Arcare North Shore – Celebrating June’s birthday
Client June Geaney at Arcare North Shore was absolutely delighted when she received a couple of surprise birthday treats from her loving family.
June received hand-painted drawings and a lovely letter from her family. Team members at Arcare North Shore also sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to her which made her feel right at home. As an added surprise, they presented her with a delicious chocolate cake.
