April 29 – Arcare North Shore – Fresh fruits in the arvo
Clients at Arcare North Shore were quick to take advantage of the recent cool weather by enjoying the outdoors in the Saunders sensory garden.
Along with a tropical platter full of our Northern fruit, clients and team members burst in song with their old-time favourite tunes.
The garden was alive with the sound of music and happiness and we cannot wait for more carefree afternoons like these.
April 29 – Arcare North Lakes – Alex’s passion for piano
At 92 years old, Alexander at Arcare North Lakes still enjoys playing his piano to this very day.
He shared with Lifestyle Coordinator Maree that his father had taught him to play the piano and the organ from a very young age. It is clear to see that musical talent runs in the family!
April 29 – Arcare Slack Creek – Having a laugh
Clients in Arcare Slacks Creek’s Sensitive Care Unit had a ball playing Jenga and Connect 4 but the biggest laughs came from a game of ‘Who Am I’.
Joy, Joyce and Audrey were in stitches laughing at each other’s guesses and cheeky hints to what card was on their heads. They are looking forward to playing it again.

Arcare Eight Mile Plains’ hair salon is open for business!
Faedra and Rebecca already have an ongoing list for clients wanting to get their hair done.
And Dorothy could not wait to be seated in the chair!
Clients were pleased with how much they managed to do in the two days they’ve have been here, even with the restrictions of two clients at a time.
We all think they are doing a wonderful job!
April 30 – Arcare Parkinson – Pyjamas to work
Our weekly dress up days are very popular among the clients and team members at Arcare Parkinson.
This week, we brought a bit of home with us to work and got comfortable as we put on our best pyjamas.
The clients especially loved Personal Support Worker Sharon’s shark slippers and being able to catch her sleeping on the job!
‘She’d better not get caught again!’ the clients joked while having a laugh.
