The community of Arcare Helensvale recently celebrated a spectacularly spooky Halloween Party, complete with skeletons, ghosts and pumpkin heads.
To set the mysterious mood, Lifestyle Co-ordinator Kate shared with everyone the history of Halloween and its big impact on American culture.
Even though Halloween in Australia is not as popular, many of the clients still found it very interesting and enjoyed learning about it.
And the Halloween party was not complete without some themed foods.
We drank ‘spiders’ and Pat shared with us that she has not had one in 70 years!
We talked about all the strange things we’ve eaten in our lives, as we nibbled on body parts – candy ones, that is.
We also really enjoyed seeing the wonderful costumes and decorations set up in the residence theatre.
It was a wonderful Halloween afternoon with our friends and especially so when Residence Manager Sharon popped by to join in the fun.
It was a fun party filled with laughter, friendship and lots of yummy food!
And we also want to thank our Residence Chef Chris for preparing the delicious nibbles.
